It will be my great pleasure to take 13 young people and 6 adults to Senegal in November. All the young people are fund raising themselves to ensure they go on the life changing trip. The total cost per person is £1200, this includes flights, African Drumming tuition by Seckou Keota, accomodation, food and transport and spending money.

We will depart from Belfast on 8th November and return on 24th November 2009. All details will follow shortly.

There are number of reasons why we decided to go to Senegal; learn advanced drumming skills, develop our cross community skills, understand different cultures and ways of life, realise the importance of African drumming in their own society, experience living in a developing country, working with peers of similar age but different cultures, sharing knowledge, bringing equipment to Senegalese Schools, developing our language skills, appreciating what we have, helping others, and learning key personal skills which will effect our lives for years to come.

The following young people will definitely be enjoying this African experience. Please let me know all of your fund raising details as they and I will up-date them on a regular basis!

Our aim is to all work together and raise £25,000.  This money will not only cover the costs for taking our group out to Senegal, but will also bring 6 young people and teachers from Senegal here next year. Please make sure you and your family are doing everything you can to help us raise the funds needed. All young people will need to raise in excess of £800 to be able to go.
