LETS DO IT OCEAN ADVENTURE HOSTS SINGAPORE STUDENTS FOR “CROSS WATERS AND CROSS CULTURES” PROGRAMME IN IRELANDSINGAPORE and GALWAY, IRELAND (JUNE 6TH , 2009)

Ocean Youth Trust Ireland together with Let’s Do it Global, Singapore’s Irish Business Association, by the Embassy of Ireland in Singapore, has launched an initiative which will expand the cultural, educational and business ties between Singapore and Ireland And build on the legacy opportunities for the Volvo Ocean Race 2008-2009. “Crossing Waters, Crossing Cultures” is an initiative which allows four students from Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore to travel to Ireland to participate in activities leading up to the departure of the Volvo Ocean Race from Galway on June 6 th , 2009. The students will meet the president of Ireland and will then join an 8 day sail training voyage along the southwest Irish coast on board Lord Rank, a vessel operated by the Ocean Youth Trust Ireland.
